2011 ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey Minimum Standards

The National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and the American Land Title Association (ALTA) have announced the final approval of the latest version of the Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for Land Title Surveys.

The 2011 version of ALTA/ACSM Minimum Standard Detail Requirements is the first significant rewrite of the Standards since they were first adopted by ACSM and the American Title Association (now ALTA) in 1962. The revised Standards represent the culmination of over two years of concentrated work by a large NSPS committee and a select group of title attorneys with ALTA.

The 2011 ALTA/ACSM Minimum Standards Requirements will go into effect on Feb 23, 2011. All Land Title Surveys scheduled to be completed after that date must meet the 2011 Standards
